Linkage Again

When I'm too lazy to write a real post, I just post up some links. ;-) Here's some stuff that caught my attention this week.

What kind of reader are you? Stumbled across this and thought it was pretty cool.

This reads the personality of your blog. Pretty neat. It says BookingIt is an ISFP.

"The gentle and compassionate type. They are especially attuned their inner values and what other people need. They are not friends of many words and tend to take the worries of the world on their shoulders. They tend to follow the path of least resistance and have to look out not to be taken advantage of. They often prefer working quietly, behind the scene as a part of a team. They tend to value their friends and family above what they do for a living." In real life, I'm an INFP so my blog is different. Normally it tests as an ISTP but I think the typealyzer goes by the post format.

And as long as you've never done this, here's something to make you laugh. And if you have, no worries. Just never query that agent again. LOL *just kidding!*

Have a great weekend everyone!

My blog is an ESTP:

The active and playful type. They are especially attuned to people and things around them and often full of energy, talking, joking and engaging in physical out-door activities.

The Doers are happiest with action-filled work which craves their full attention and focus. They might be very impulsive and more keen on starting something new than following it through. They might have a problem with sitting still or remaining inactive for any period of time.
That what-not-to-do-in-a-query was hilarious! Thanks for sharing. And have a great weekend!

Hmm, Kristen.
Are you sure you didn't test yourself? LOL
I know I don't know you, but you seem outgoing and busy...
You have a great weekend too!
Your blog totally fits that type, imo.

I thought it was hilarious too, Janna. I bet some people do that. What's tricky is when they say to compare your story to other books. :-) That messes a lot of people up. I know that I read a lot of commercial fiction and in the beginning I would've compared my story to some bigger named authors because they're what I read.
Hope your weekend is fun.
Hi Jessica -

The typealyzer said my blog is ESTP.

The active and playful type. They are especially attuned to people and things around them and often full of energy, talking, joking and engaging in physical out-door activities.

I think someone else is writing my blog. LOL! This is sooo not me.

Blessings,
Susan :)

Awesome post, Jessie! I personally like your link posts because I rarely take the time to web surf, so I appreciate you doing the work for me. Snort.

I wonder if you can guess what kind of reader I am? A romantic tinged with a blush of symbolist. What I thought was interesting about that post was how they also attributed how you read to how you write.

Oh, and my blog is a: ESFP

"The entertaining and friendly type. They are especially attuned to pleasure and beauty and like to fill their surroundings with soft fabrics, bright colors and sweet smells. They live in the present moment and don´t like to plan ahead - they are always in risk of exhausting themselves.

They enjoy work that makes them able to help other people in a concrete and visible way. They tend to avoid conflicts and rarely initiate confrontation - qualities that can make it hard for them in management positions."

This was fun! Thanks for sharing those. :-)

Linking is good, Jessica. Leads to some interesting information. I do it, too.

Hey Susan,
No worries! The typealyzer changes so it's not completely accurate. Though my friend Anita's type seemed pretty close to her. :-)

Hey Anita,
Very interesting about your reading type! Mine was pretty accurate too, but now I can't remember what it was.

Thanks Rhonda! It definitely pulls up interesting stuff.

Jessica: Would you be willing to share how many query letters you have sent out? Do you send to only agents, or publishers as well? I have my book almost ready, I have written my query letter, but have not sent it to any agents yet. Normally I'm a very bold person, but I feel like a second grader giving her first recital in front of all the big kids, if you know what I mean! I'm happy for you that you're 'nearly' done with your manuscript! Jeanette P.S. How did you find my blog?
