Jumping on the Bandwagon

I think I'll be taking a blog break too. My dad and brother, who I haven't seen in over two years, might be coming to my house soon so I'm really excited!

I'll probably still be visiting blogs on my free time. I am an addict, after all. *wink*

What family did you see this year? Was it stressful or fun? Are you ready to go back to the comfortable insanity of normal life?

Have a wonderful break Jessica! Family is the perfect reason to still away from the internet.

Most of my family is here in Texas with me, so I am fortunate to be close to them all.

Have a Happy New Year!

My hubby got sick AGAIN! It was horrible. Right on Christmas Eve. I felt so bad for him. We ended up delaying travel until Christmas day. we spent the day with his family in Wisconsin. It was fun, but I'm happy to be back.

Have fun with your family, Jessica!!
Jessie: I hope you have fun with your brother and Dad, and a peaceful unplug week. We will miss you!

We saw our daughter and her kids at Thanksgiving, and our son couldn't get enough days off work to make the 550 mile trip here, so we were just us two for Christmas. I thought it'd be sad and lonely, but we had a fun, worshipful day.

Tamika, it's really nice that you're close to your family! I wish I was geographically closer to mine. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Terri, I'm so sorry that it was stressful. Because of the disease? I'm glad you're home and hope you get some recuperation in. :-)

Katie, that stinks!! Poor guy. :-( How's he feeling now? I hope you or Brogan don't get it.

Jeanette, how nice that you two had the day to yourselves and enjoyed it! What a blessing. :-)
Enjoyed my son and granddaughters. Nothing lifts my spirits like the joy of their visit!!!

Yes I am SO READY to get back to normal. Actually not dreading work tomorrow...

I think much of it stems from the fact my younger sis-in-law had a wedding today--two days after Christmas and only planned in six weeks. So the last month has been a neverending ball o'stress. Really hoping her future hubby helps her break out of that 19-year-old lack of maturity she has. Then again, he's sometimes at that same level being only a few months older than she is...

Anyway, I don't think I've ever been more grateful for the holidays to end. I hate saying that but this year it was true.

Happy Blog Break, Jessica!

It was SO refreshing not to feel like I needed to post something today, ha!

Um, we went to my in-laws in NC for Christmas. It was busy, busy, but we enjoyed it. I have decided that taking Christmas somewhere else is VERY difficult though... it will be a while before we try it again:-)

Enjoy your time with family!

My family just got back from the Chicago area last night. I ended up getting sick on Christmas Day and spent the weekend in downtown Chicago feeling awful. Definitely not the way I planned to spend my holiday, but I'm glad to be home now! :-)

We had a low-key Christmas at home. It's been lovely. I hope you have a great blog break and a lovely visit with your family!

I have very mixed feelings. I like being off of work, so I want the time to go slow. But I can't wait for my real schedule to come back so I can feel normal. And I can't wait until the rest of the world resumes their work schedule so my revisions will be read.

So... it's a toss up. Days spent in my pj's are better than going to work...
Hi Jess -

We returned yesterday evening after spending Christmas weekend with friends up north. I'm thankful we didn't hit a lot of traffic. My friends' entire family was in town, which meant lots of kiddie hugs and kisses.

Two and a half days away from the computer felt strange, but I needed it. :)

Enjoy the time with your family.

I hope you have a great time with your dad and brother. I got to spend time with two of my brothers at Christmas and this year it was fun (it hasn't always been - which made it even more special).

Not ready to go back yet. Still need a few chillin out days.
Blessings and infinit happiness and peace throughout this New Year.

This year My cousin (soldier) and her mom came up to see me after 9 years. So my home was filled with my daughters, my mother, my sister, my cousin, my aunt, and other family friends. It was wonderful.

Thanks for asking and thanks for sharing. Peace.

I hope you family time was wonderful, Jessica!!

I'm just now dipping my toes into normalcy, or trying to get the footing set back in place is more like it. Finding it difficult...

Well you are on blogger break, but I'm getting back into the swing of things, so I at least had to stop by your blog and say hi. I had a good break, although I'm looking forward to NOT having the business of the holidays and just hibernating with my children for a couple of months. Maybe I'll hibernate with my writing, too...

Jessica, thanks for sharing about the synopsis worksheet. I know Camy, but did not know about the worksheet. I'm going to check into it tomorrow.

Happy New Year. :0)

How long will ur break be? Not too long I hope! :)

I had my aunt(mom's sis) and her whole family come from Arizona and we had an amazing time! We saw 'the nutcracker', went to see 'Avatar', shopped, and took a trip to San Antonio together. I really love them, and 2 of her kiddos are girls near my age-so we've always been close. THey feel like sisters more than cousins-and one is actually very similar to me-so it's fun to have her over-we tend to have the same reactions to things and make the same faces-it's too funny to watch. I miss them already-wish they lived here.
I'm ready to go back to life, but I don't want to take down the lights and tree. I hate it when people leave lights up cuz they're lazy, but it makes me sad to take ours down-they always make me smile. I wish people put up lights for each holiday-pink ones for Valentine's day, pastels for Easter and so on. :)

Jessica,
Loved your post, then reading about your family on another post.

God gives us the perfect analogy through His brideship between Christ and the church. Sigh.

Family over the holidays? We spent a glorious two days with our newlywed daughter and two granddogs. We rejoiced in such passion and love as displayed by the young-uns!!
