Do the Write Thing

Most of you have probably heard of the flooding in Nashville. To help the victims, some writers put together an auction.
Check it out HERE. It's called Do the Write Thing For Nashville and it's awesome!
There are critiques, editor/agent phone calls, jewelry, and books on the bidding block. I plan to check out what's up tomorrow!

This is a great idea! I hope they raise a million dollars with this!

Hope to see you in the comments section. :-)

(I may be at the beach today, so if I miss your posts, I'll be around later)

Who would you want a manuscript critique from? Which publisher are you targeting for your work? Do you know anyone in Nashville? Any specific prayer requests?

What a great way to help Nashville! Thanks for the link! And have fun at the beach. :)

I bid on a few items but those bids are too rich for my blood. I don't even have that much left on credit cards. lol.

They will be doing a raffle though where people like me with shallow pockets can by a ticket and hope to win something cool. :)

Such a great cause. I don't know anyone in Nashville but I hope I can help out in some little way.

Have fun at the beach! Maybe I'll do the same thing. It is great weather today.
What a great idea. I hope they get lots of cash!

Have fun on the beach.

Great idea.

Steph Faris (fellow blogger) had her house flooded. My prayers are with her too.
oh! I'll go check that out! Tennessee is my father's homestate; it's our "neighbor" here in North Carolina, and I do have friends who live in TN - a beautiful state.

One of my GH writing buddies for whom I've done quite a bit of critiquing was en route to ER during the flooding. Her hubby got her there safely. She had surgery a couple of days later, and it went well. I was sure praying for her during the deluge, especially when I heard that some of the hospitals had flooded.

My heart goes out to the the many whose homes and businesses were affected. I think the auction to benefit them is a great idea.

Karen, after I saw your comment I checked out the bids and YIKES! LOL You're right. I want to help but I don't think I have that much money. Like you, I'll probably have to get a ticket! ;-)

Tabitha, I'd heard that. I hope she posts on her situation...

Patti, I do have a four bedroom house, so if they needed somewhere I have space. Just gotta talk a certain someone into it. LOL

Keli, what a scary situation! I'm so glad she's okay.

Susan....EEK! That's COLD.

Genny, I've seen it all over the place too. I am doing well, thanks. :-)

Everyone else, thank you for the beach well-wishes. We had an awesome time and I hope all of you get to do something fun this week.
What a wonderful way to help those affected in TN!

The auction sounds like a good idea. I have been praying for Nashville.

Glad you had fun. It's been raining here quite frequently. Looking for some more warm days.

Great ministry! I'm going to check it out.

Your questions ... yes, I have family in Nashville.

Have a friend that has written her first children's book. Can you steer her to a children's editor? I'm going to direct her to your blog.
