HodgePodge

The good news: I actually wrote about a thousand words in my wip. It's literally been weeks but it feels great to be progressing again.
On to my hodgepodge of links:

Ever wondered what a manuscript has to go through before being published? Check out Anita's rundown and let me know what you think. LOL I was definitely intimidated.

Is it wrong to be jealous of a high schooler?

Though this is a writing blog, for the most part, I'm going to mention politics. Only to say that there are so many changes possibly coming that I can't help but wonder what they will add to or detract from the world of publishing. We shall see.

As these are trying times, for the weary soul, here is one of my favorite songs, best listened to in a quiet room. (click on the youtube video to hear it)

1000 words is awesome! Now I have to go back to bed, which is where sick people should be, but I had to get up and take more meds and I can't stay away from the computer. lol

Haha, I'm a computer addict too!
I hope you feel better soon. :-(
Hi Jessica -

Congrats on the 1,000 words.

I'm editing my "finished novel." Last night, I managed to get through a chapter (2 hours). A definite plus: I actually remembered some of the writing tips I've gleaned and used them. Yay!

Blessings,
Susan :)

CONGRATULATIONS on the word count! Keep it up, you don't have so very far to go.

Thanks Anita! Half done, so now I'm thinking of ways to wind things up. You're pretty hot with the word count yourself!

I wish I could've been an intern when I was in high school! That's awesome!

Thanks for the song. We've sang that in church a few time and it's definitely one of my favorites.

Oh, and congrats on the 1,000 words! Wish I could say the same...

I know. It's kind of awesome because she's a few steps ahead already than we probably were. I almost think I'd enjoy reading queries. Really.
:-)
Thanks for stopping by.
