Addicted

Anybody notice how the word count changes on my counter like every day?
That's because I'm addicted to it.

There's this marvelous thrill that races through me every time I see the percentage go up a point. And strangely enough, this motivates me to write.

What motivates you? Is it strange? Do tell....

Great motivation, I'd say! You know that I'm addicted to mine as well. :-) Maybe that's why I'm so grumpy lately, because my little bar hasn't raised one iota for several weeks now. Hum. Rewrites. Grrr.

I think what motivates me the most to write is an overwhelming need to see what my characters are up to ... how they're going to get out of their predicament, are they going to confess their love, etc...? They really get inside my head and I almost feel guilty when I leave them hanging.

Anywaym, congrats on your great progress! Keep it up, you're almost there!

Listening to music motivates me. I don't know what it is, but something about listening to other artists expressing themselves gets my own creative juices flowing.

Great job on the word count Jess!
Hi Jessica -

Maybe I should try your percentage gizmo. How do you get one of those counters?

Nothing is motivating me lately. I'm bogged down with life issues at the moment.

Blessings,
Susan :)

I'm motivated by friends keeping me accountable, not so much as in checking up on me, but in knowing that my progress inspires them.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for stopping by. I've been babysitting the last two days, so no internet time.
I'm looking forward to catching up on your blogs. :-)
