LOL Keli, yes, this is a real fish. He catches monsters like this all the time. People like to go with him because he knows where the "good" spots are. LOL

I'll get the details for you. I don't mess with fish. LOL

Whew-wee! That's deep sea fishing, right? My hubbie would love to try that some day. :-)

So, here's a question I've been wondering about for awhile. Do YOU clean these monsters and cook them, Jessie-girl? I just can't picture that for some reason. SNORT!

He caught this awhile back actually. We probably ate it, but I don't know... Heeehee. He actually catches big fish a lot.

Angie, I def. feel thankful that we both have passions in our life that we're not afraid to go after. :-)

You can't picture it because I would never do it! LOL I feel like gagging when he needs me to bring stuff out to him when he's cleaning them. Major Yuck! And Jimmy loves cooking/frying the fish up. He's a really good chef with fish. ;-)

Everyone else, I know, I'm completely amazed at the stuff he catches out there. It's crazy!

Hi Keli,

This is a snook caught in the Gulf of Mexico. Snook is an awesome fish to eat but I just found out that we didn't eat this one because we can't keep ones this big.
So this Big Guy is still swimming out in the ocean somewhere. LOL

Just Straight-up Say It

When it comes to writing an interesting character, I think the best ones are those who go verbal places we're afraid to. Sometimes they use subtext, sometimes speak the truth, straight-up. Or maybe your characters break some rules you would never dare to even imagine breaking? Maybe they expose themselves, make themselves vulnerable to other characters? Or do they demand things we've learned to only wish for? What's the wildest thing one of your characters has done? Would you do it?

To Pick a Scabbing Wound

After my involvement in that accident, my grandma suggested I write out what happened as a healing exercise. I used to write in a diary all the time, but since getting married, that has fallen to the side. Even when I did it though, the words were subdued for fear that someone like me might walk into the room. To write about something that hurts to think about seems to me rather like picking at a scabbing wound. But I think for some writing out their hurts aides in the healing process. How do you release emotion? Do you think writing about a painful event is healthy or counterproductive? And do you journal? If so, what about?
