LOL Keli, yes, this is a real fish. He catches monsters like this all the time. People like to go with him because he knows where the "good" spots are. LOL

Whew-wee! That's deep sea fishing, right? My hubbie would love to try that some day. :-)

So, here's a question I've been wondering about for awhile. Do YOU clean these monsters and cook them, Jessie-girl? I just can't picture that for some reason. SNORT!

He caught this awhile back actually. We probably ate it, but I don't know... Heeehee. He actually catches big fish a lot.

Angie, I def. feel thankful that we both have passions in our life that we're not afraid to go after. :-)

You can't picture it because I would never do it! LOL I feel like gagging when he needs me to bring stuff out to him when he's cleaning them. Major Yuck! And Jimmy loves cooking/frying the fish up. He's a really good chef with fish. ;-)

Everyone else, I know, I'm completely amazed at the stuff he catches out there. It's crazy!

Hi Keli,

This is a snook caught in the Gulf of Mexico. Snook is an awesome fish to eat but I just found out that we didn't eat this one because we can't keep ones this big.
So this Big Guy is still swimming out in the ocean somewhere. LOL

How do you view people? I didn't have much interest in people as a kid. Once I discovered books (kindergarten, guys), the life within them seemed more real than the bustle around me. I cared for and liked people but I didn't really see them as interesting. Until I landed a job at my local newspaper. As a freelancer, my editor expected a story on a person every two weeks to grace our Neighbors section, and it needed to be interesting. The story was supposed to focus on a local resident's unique skill or talent.  I was blind, not understanding, wondering how I could find these "special" people. I sold to Love Inspired Historical !!! Here's how it happened: " You should write a book. You'd make more money doing that." In 2006 my editor at the newspaper I freelanced for told me this. In that moment, a lightbulb went off in my head. Write for money? Sure, I'd written stories all my life, but to actually write a book and be paid for it was a concept that had never occurred to me.
