Nekkid Readings ... and Other Links

First, hop on over to Linda's for a chance to win a copy of Deadly Exposure.

Also, don't forget to check out Elana's amazing contest which awards multiple query critiques by agents.

Then, lovely author Kathryn Magendie is readying for her second book release and in order to get the word out, she's willing to try all sorts of marketing techniques. Including posting herself reading an excerpt of her new novel.

Naked.

What would you do to market your book? How extreme will you go? Is there anything you absolutely will never do?

btw, Kat's reading is G-rated. :-)

Comments

*laughing* - yes, it is very G Rated ....

You know, when I first thought about doing this, I thought about how much fun it'd be and how silly it'd be -how I was taking things so seriously and feeling the anxiety that sometimes having a book out (and other on the way) can bring -yes, it's true, you can feel anxious even then! ....but, it seems to be growing, like a snowball heading downhill *laugh* - oh dear help me.

Oh- fun!

I agree with Kathryn, it is scary to have a book out. :) But wonderful as well. Cheers~

Oh, and Jessica, I awarded you the Sunshine commenter award on my website blog if you want to stop by A Room with a View.

Great links, Jessie!

And I loved that naked reading! SNORT. She really does write beautifully, though, doesn't she? Reminds me of someone in my crit group...

Well, have a wonderful Sunday, dear friend!

I'm going to pop over and check those blogs out. Don't know how far I would go to market my book, lol. no getting naked though.

Oh and I have an award for you on my blog.

Not sure I'd be brave enough to do the nekkid thing, but I sure do admire Kat for her courage and sense of fun.

I admire her too. :-)
Thanks Katie! I'll pop by.
Danyelle, I'll stop by your place too. Thank you!

Patti, I'm interested in the Jesus approach too. Humble yourself and you will be exalted...how does that tie in to marketing, etc. I don't know. Technically I don't think signing books, etc. is lifting oneself up...You should post more about this.
