My first book review . . .

is coming.

I haven't read it yet, but I'm fixing to. And then, I'll be posting my thoughts.
It's kind of exciting. In school I loved doing book reports. Never thought they'd come into play later.
Although, I'm not sure if the review will be in "report" format. In fact, I'm not sure how to do this at all.

Any suggestions?

Hey! Did you have a fun trip?

So, are you reviewing this book just for your blog, or are you on a romance loop of some kind?

Thanks for dropping by my LJ, BTW. I don't know much about Goth stuff either. I'm more into the Victorian side of it. It's kind of interesting how the lines kind of blur between them--velvets, laces, filigreed jewelry, etc...--I stumbled upon those bath and craft websites when I was researching for "Forgotten Silences". I can't remember what exactly I googled ... I think I was looking for Victorian mourning rituals and it led me to that lady's website with the Victorian mourning dolls, etc.

The Velvet Garden just popped up when I was googling for online thrift stores awhile back. I haven't bought anything yet from them (some of the dresses and home decor are a bit extreme for me) but they have some really pretty shirts and jackets and necklaces that I might have to nab later.

Glad you're back! It's been quiet in the blogasphere without you!

Oh, and as to your book review format dilema, most reviews rate books with a hearts, or kisses, or stars system of some kind.

My suggestion would be to go to a review website such as Romantic Times book reviews:http://www.romantictimes.com/books_review.php?feat=1. Reading their feature review and going through the archives will show you how they rate their books.

Have fun reading! (What are you reading, BTW? or are you keeping it quiet until you review it?)

Hi Jessica,

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Who are you doing reviews for? YOu were green about RWA, are you attending ACFW?

Blessings,

Rhonda
