This Made Me Weep

Thank you Wendy for sharing this.

I know what this video means to me, but what does it mean to you?

The people on that train would have died...if it had been me, they would have died. I could not give my son...
God gave a lot, hey.
More than I could give...
More than I can imagine loosing.

Beautiful Jess. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing.

Tabitha,
I know. I really don't think I could do that....:-( That's why I was crying like a baby. The thought of my kids dying, it's not even something I can allow myself to think about.

Hi Diane,
I'm glad Wendy shared it first. I thought it was pretty powerful.

Wow. Wow wow wow. Beautiful.

Yes, I'm crying like a baby.

The most amazing thing of all? That He gave up His most innocent and precious Son for a world filled with sin and selfishness. Just like the people on the train.

What a poignant parallel. Thanks for sharing, Wendy and Jessie. A very thought-provoking start to our day.

Hey Anita,
I cried too. I don't think I can watch it again, but I sure won't forget it.

I cannot fathom the Father's love for us. His heart is so big and so good and so perfect.
I love this video - have seen it before and every time it reminds me of our loving Father. Thank you!

BTW, the Florida lizards are something I would love to share with my Joshua. I seriously would love to make a trip down there with him for the express purpose of letting him see them.
Well, that and getting a tan. *grin*

Oh I sobbed like a baby watching it...I knew it was coming because I'd heard that analogy before but I had to watch it.

Very powerful and meaningful.

Don't know what choice I'd made . . . I really fear I'd have saved my son.

But, this just made me feel sad.

I saw this on Wendy's site yesterday, watched it and cried. With a vivid portrayal of what God did for us.

That made me cry...my son crawled up to me just now and started rubbing the tears out of my eyes. I have heard the story before, but seeing it brought it to life much more. It is easy in our day-to-day life to forget the this sacrifice.

This made me think of my dad. He is a beautiful person, and just a huge heart. he lost his dad when he was 3, his mom died from a heart attack as he lay next to her when he was 15, and each of his 5 siblings died in a tragic way-like his brother who drowned in the Mississippi saving this kid. Last year, his best friend died, and I walked into the room right after he got the call from his friend's wife. He was crying, and he just crumbled against me. I was so sad for him. I don't know how you could lose one person you love, much less person after person. I'm very thankful to God for giving me him though-He knows what really matters, and tells us every day that he loves us with all his heart.
Now I'm crying and it's your fault!! But- This was a beautiful video, and it's message is very real.
we are very lucky people. :)

Thank you, Jessica. Sometimes, it doesn't matter how much you go to church, read the bible, try to lead a christian life, the power behind the "Passion of the Christ" story doesn't really connect in your brain because it all happened thousands of years ago to people you've only read about.

But when you see videos like that, shown in this day and in such relatable circumstances, it makes you step back and look at your life and want to be a better person because Someone gave up their beloved child for you. You want to make it for it for Them.

Thanks again.

Ugg. I obviously need to take more writing classes. My last line was supposed to something more like, "You want to make their decision worth it for Them."
